Eleven themes: why so many, and why exactly these

The app ships eleven theme families, each with a light and dark variant. It’s a lot. Three reasons.

One: eyes get tired

A chat stays open for hours, including at night. A bright theme at 10pm is a flashlight to the face. We wanted people to pick their comfort.

Two: each theme tells a small story

These aren’t invented palettes. They’re traditions from the code world, like Catppuccin, Tokyo Night, Solarized, Gruvbox, Rosé Pine, plus six of our own or inspired by environments we admire (Anthropic, Linear, Carbon, Editorial, Stone, Genesis). Each theme is a small declaration of belonging.

Three: consistency

The website respects the same choice as the app. If you set Rosé Pine light there, you find it here. Settings live in the browser via localStorage; they’re separate from your account.

We won’t add a twelfth theme without a clear reason.
