Organiser terms
Last updated: 9 August 2026
Eight points. No clause hidden at the bottom, because there is no bottom.
Draft pending legal review. The substance is settled and it describes how the service works today, but a lawyer has not signed it off yet.
1. What you buy
You buy the official channel of your event inside the Convosphere app, for the capacity tier and the time window you pick. The channel is geofenced: only people inside the area you drew can enter, and only while the channel is open.
You are not buying exclusivity over the area, nor guaranteed reach to a number of people: you are buying the tool, and how many people use it depends on your event.
2. How it goes live
All by yourself, from the wizard: event details, area on the map, payment. The channel normally opens six hours before the start, or at the time you chose, and closes when you decided.
The area can be corrected until the event begins. After that the edge stays put: moving it mid-event would push out people who are still there.
3. Prices, payments, invoices
Published prices exclude VAT. You pay by card through Stripe: we never see your card details. A single event is a one-off payment; the annual licence renews every twelve months and you can cancel it any time from the billing portal, effective at the end of the current term.
We issue an electronic invoice for every payment, to the tax details you enter, addressed to your SDI code. If the details are missing or wrong, the event goes live anyway and the invoice is issued once you fix them.
4. Refunds
If the event does not take place, full refund: write to us within 14 days. Before the channel opens, full refund, no questions. After it opens we look at it case by case, and the rule we follow is written out on the refunds page.
We do not refund a channel that worked and was simply used little: what you buy is the tool, not the turnout.
5. What we ask of you
That you really are the organiser of the event, or that you have the mandate for it. That you do not use the channel for illegal content, to harass anyone, or to pass off as official an event that is not yours.
You are responsible for what you write in the channel and for how you moderate it. If you invite collaborators as moderators, you are responsible for them too. We give you every moderation tool: pin, mute, slow mode, ban, from the phone and from the web.
6. When we can step in
We can close a channel, suspend an organisation or remove content when there is a breach of point 5, a legal obligation, or a concrete risk to people. It is a kill switch, and we treat it as one: when we pull it, we put it in writing, with the reason.
If we close a channel you paid for and there was no breach on your side, we refund it in full.
7. The Official badge and the data you see
The badge says there is an identified organisation behind that event, answering for what it writes. It is not a judgement on the quality of the event, and it implies no relationship between us and you beyond these terms.
The metrics we show you are aggregated and anonymous. We do not give you, and do not keep for ourselves, the identity of whoever was standing at a given spot. The detail is in the privacy page.
8. Changes and contact
If we change these terms we write to your billing email at least thirty days in advance. If you do not like the change you can cancel at no cost, and we refund the unused part of the annual licence.
For anything at all: hello@convosphere.app.
