An assistant
that listens to the area.
Sfera is the part of Convosphere that understands neighbourhood
conversation. It reads the tone, summarises when useful, replies
only when called.

Anyone know if that place on Rome street is still open?

Closed at 11pm, I saw the sign this morning.

@sfera can you confirm?
S
Sfera
Confirmed from Lucy's morning message: closing at 11pm
until 19 May. No other contrary reports in the
geochat.
Example
Two ways to talk to her.
Sfera News. When the geochat heats up for an
event, a weather alert, a growing discussion, Sfera writes a
neutral summary and posts it. You recognise it by the icon: no
human mimicry, no emoji.
Ask Sfera. Type @sfera followed by
a question. She answers in the geochat, with one message per
request. She doesn't follow up, doesn't fill space.
What she knows.
Sfera only sees public messages from the geochat she's in. She
doesn't read direct chats, doesn't read private channels,
doesn't remember past sessions. Every reply comes from the
conversation of the moment.
What she doesn't do.
- She doesn't speak first unless it's the right moment.
- She doesn't correct, judge, or summarise private conversations.
- She doesn't promote commercial actions.
- She doesn't pretend to be human.
Under the hood.
Sfera uses an external language model (GPT-5-mini) through a
proxy we run. Requests pass encrypted; responses are filtered
by rules we call tone guard rails: no sarcasm, no
strong words, no statements that can't be verified from
context.
Principle
A good presence, in chat as in life, knows when to be quiet.
Sfera is designed for that silence.
